For years I've wanted to try making fun little toys and things to interact with, with notes and ideas going back literal years. Once I find the time and work-life balance, I'm going all out.
How about a simple web game project (within the bounds of a static site)? I have a few little game ideas to play with as a proof of concept, but this is further down the line; probably not going to be this year realistically.
Assuming Itch.io still exists in a year or two, I'll be tossing a copy of the project on there too. Yes, it'll be free.
Wind-up toys! I don't have access to a 3D printer yet, nor have I gotten deep enough into CAD, but that along with casting toy/figure parts is another big interest that I'll hopefully start on in the next few years.
My main goal is to learn how to play with wooden and plastic gears, and make my own functional wind-up toy. When I've done that, I'll likely release project files and an Instructable with any of the different methods I've tested successfully.
Ball-joint figures are another thing keeping me frothing at the mouth, though not as much as mechanical toys so far.
Latex/silicone face prosthetics also look interesting to try at least once for cosplay, but that's another money and time sink waiting for me to fall into! I also don't know how to do make-up yet... I'm sure I'll figure that part out, eventually.
Outside of sketching or tending to responsibilities, probably not much else. College is a thorn in my side, but a necessary one.
I'm hoping to have a gallery for my art added by the end of this year using Bootstrap, but in the meantime you can see what I'm drawing on my socials.
